The Highlight block is a UniLink block that allows you to draw attention to a specific message, announcement, promotion, or piece of content using a visually distinctive style.
What is the Highlight Block?
The Highlight block is designed to make certain content stand out from the rest of your page. Think of it as a callout or spotlight — it draws the visitor's eye to something important, whether that is a limited-time offer, a key statistic, an award, a testimonial, or any message you want to ensure nobody misses. It is popular among e-commerce sellers promoting deals, creators announcing launches, and professionals sharing notable achievements.
How to Add the Highlight Block to Your Page
- Log in to your UniLink Dashboard at unilink.us
- Select the page you want to edit
- Click the Add Block button (+)
- Search for or scroll to find Highlight
- Click to add it to your page
How to Configure the Highlight Block
The Highlight block offers several customization options to make your message visually impactful:
- Highlight Text — Enter the main message you want to emphasize. Keep it short and punchy for maximum impact.
- Supporting Description — Add a secondary line of text to provide context or elaboration below the main highlighted message.
- Background Color or Style — Choose a contrasting color or gradient background to make the block visually distinct from surrounding content.
- Icon or Emoji — Optionally add a visual element alongside the text to reinforce the message or add personality.
- Call-to-Action Button — Include an optional button with a link inside the Highlight block to drive visitors toward a specific action.
- Border and Shape — Adjust the border style and corner radius to match your overall page design.
Best Practices for the Highlight Block
- Use the Highlight block sparingly. If everything is highlighted, nothing stands out. Reserve it for your single most important message on the page.
- Choose a background color that contrasts with your page background and aligns with your brand palette.
- Make the highlighted text action-oriented or urgency-driven, such as "Sale ends Sunday" or "Only 3 spots left."
- If using a call-to-action button inside the block, make the button label specific rather than generic, for example "Claim Discount" instead of "Click Here."
- Test the block on mobile to ensure the text remains readable and the layout does not break on smaller screens.
