How to Use the Live Stream Block on UniLink

The Live Stream Block is a UniLink block that embeds a live video stream directly on your link-in-bio page so your audience can watch without leaving your profile.

What is the Live Stream Block?

The Live Stream Block lets you broadcast live video — whether it is a product launch, a Q&A session, a workshop, a concert, or a behind-the-scenes moment — directly from your UniLink page. Instead of scattering your audience across multiple platforms, you centralize the viewing experience on one URL you control. Creators, educators, brands, and event organizers use it to drive traffic to their UniLink page during live moments and convert casual viewers into followers, subscribers, or buyers.

How to Add the Live Stream Block

  1. Log in to your UniLink Dashboard
  2. Open your page editor
  3. Click Add Block (+)
  4. Select Live Stream

Configuration Options

  • Stream Source — Connect your YouTube, Twitch, or custom RTMP stream URL as the video source
  • Block Title — Display a live event title above the player (e.g., "Live Now: Product Drop", "Weekly Q&A")
  • Scheduled Start Time — Show a countdown timer when the stream has not started yet to build anticipation
  • Chat Integration — Optionally embed live chat alongside the video player so viewers can interact in real time
  • Offline Placeholder — Set a custom image or message that displays when you are not currently live
  • Auto-Hide When Offline — Hide the block entirely when no stream is active so your page stays clean

Best Practices

  • Promote your UniLink page as the single destination for viewers before every stream — consistency builds the habit of visiting your page first.
  • Set up the offline placeholder with information about your next scheduled stream to keep potential viewers informed even when you are not live.
  • Test your stream connection at least 10 minutes before going live to resolve any technical issues before your audience arrives.
  • Pin a call-to-action block directly below the Live Stream block so engaged viewers can immediately subscribe, buy, or sign up while watching.
