How to Use the Timer Block on UniLink

The Timer block is a UniLink block that displays a live countdown clock on your page, creating urgency around a launch, sale, or event to motivate visitors to act quickly.

What is the Timer Block?

Countdown timers are proven conversion tools. When visitors see time ticking away, they are far more likely to act immediately rather than returning later and often forgetting. The Timer block lets you add a real-time countdown directly to your UniLink page tied to any deadline you choose, whether that is the end of a flash sale, the opening of enrollment for a course, the launch of a new product, or the date of a live event.

How to Add the Timer Block

  1. Log in to your UniLink Dashboard
  2. Open your page editor
  3. Click Add Block (+)
  4. Select Timer

Configuration Options

  • Target Date and Time - Set the exact date and time the countdown is counting toward.
  • Timezone - Choose the appropriate timezone so the timer displays accurately for your audience.
  • Label - Add a short headline above the timer such as "Sale Ends In" or "Enrollment Closes In".
  • Post-Expiry Behavior - Choose what happens when the timer hits zero, for example hiding the block or showing an expired message.

  • CTA Button - Add a button below the timer linking directly to the offer or event page.

  • Only use the Timer block for genuine deadlines, as fake urgency can damage trust when visitors return and the offer is still available.
  • Place the Timer block directly above or below the related Promo, Discount, or product link so context is clear.
  • Use a short, action-oriented label that tells visitors exactly what will change when the timer ends.
