How to Use the Form Block on UniLink

The Form block is a UniLink block that allows you to create fully customizable multi-field forms so visitors can send inquiries, applications, or any structured information directly from your page.

What is the Form Block?

While the Data Collect block is designed for simple lead capture, the Form block gives you the power to build richer, more complex forms. Use it to collect job applications, service inquiries, event registrations, customer feedback, or any other structured input. It is perfect for businesses and professionals who need more than just a name and email from their visitors.

How to Add the Form Block to Your Page

  1. Log in to your UniLink Dashboard at unilink.us
  2. Select the page you want to edit
  3. Click the Add Block button (+)
  4. Search for or scroll to find Form
  5. Click to add it to your page

How to Configure the Form Block

The Form block offers a wide range of settings to match your specific data collection needs:

  • Form Title — Add a clear title that tells visitors what the form is for, such as "Contact Us" or "Apply for Partnership."
  • Custom Fields — Add as many fields as you need, including text inputs, text areas, dropdowns, checkboxes, and date pickers.
  • Field Labels and Placeholders — Label each field clearly and add placeholder text to guide visitors on what to enter.
  • Required Field Validation — Mark any field as required and set validation rules to ensure submissions are complete and accurate.
  • Submit Button Text — Customize the call-to-action label on the submit button to match the purpose of the form.
  • Email Notification — Set up an email address where you want to receive a notification each time someone submits the form.
  • Thank You Message or Redirect — After submission, show a custom message or redirect the visitor to a specific URL such as a confirmation page.

Best Practices for the Form Block

  • Only include fields that are truly necessary. Every additional field reduces the likelihood of completion.
  • Use descriptive field labels so visitors know exactly what information to provide in each field.
  • Set up email notifications so you never miss a submission and can follow up quickly.
  • Test your form after publishing by submitting it yourself to make sure everything works and the success message appears correctly.
  • For longer forms, group related fields together and use a logical order to make the experience feel natural.
